Montana Registered Agent Requirements

Under the Montana Model Registered Agents Act, your registered agent must:

  • Have a physical Montana street address — a P.O. box alone doesn't qualify.
  • Be available during normal business hours (typically 9am–5pm, Monday–Friday) to accept legal documents in person.
