What Iowa Requires
Iowa's Revised Uniform LLC Act (Chapter 489) sets the rules for who can serve as a registered agent:
- Physical Iowa street address — a P.O. box alone is not acceptable; the agent must be reachable at a real street address in the state.
- An individual resident of Iowa — this can be you, a co-owner, a friend, or an employee, as long as they have a real Iowa street address.
