What Indiana Requires
IC 23-0.5-4-1 sets the rules for who can serve as a registered agent in Indiana:
- Physical Indiana street address — a P.O. box alone is not acceptable; the agent must be reachable at a real street address in the state.
- An Indiana resident at least 18 years old — this can be you, a co-owner, a friend, or an employee, as long as they live in Indiana and meet the age requirement.
