State LLC filing calendar

Organize selected state report dates and your own renewals in one planning snapshot. This tool does not check government records, identify every obligation or file a report. Verify the applicable agency instructions before relying on a date.

Coverage and what the dates mean

Current staging coverage: 51 reviewed jurisdiction topics out of 51. Other jurisdictions have an explicit review path and no generated government dates. This is selected report/renewal coverage, including the Arkansas franchise report, Delaware tax and Virginia fee payments. It is not a full state tax calendar.

Dates are nominal calendar dates. The tool does not move them for weekends, holidays, agency extensions or special relief. File early and verify any applicable adjustment directly. Earlier dates are omitted from the upcoming list; that does not mean earlier obligations were satisfied.

Build your filing plan

Choose a jurisdiction to see which date to enter. For a conversion, reinstatement, foreign registration or uncertain record, choose the review situation above.

Any additional agency-cycle or fiscal-year fields must be confirmed from the state record. Shows the rest of that calendar year and the next two years. No earlier due dates or completed filings are inferred.

Optional owner-entered renewals

These dates come from you, not a government rule. Leave unknown dates blank. They do not repeat automatically.

Choose your inputs, then build the schedule.

Dates and selections stay in this browser. Reset clears this calendar only. No account, cross-device synchronization or email-reminder service is provided.

How to use this calendar

  1. Check the entity record and choose the relevant jurisdiction and situation.
  2. Read the jurisdiction-specific date guidance and enter the original filing, organization or effective date it asks for. These dates can differ. Check whether any earlier report or payment is already outstanding separately.
  3. Add known provider or license renewal dates if useful. They remain labelled owner-entered.
  4. Build the schedule, review the scope/source notes, then download or print the snapshot.

Read the date and filing-window notes

A month-based statement may have a filing window rather than a single submission day. New York statements use the anniversary month; California periodic statements include that month and the preceding five months. The calendar marks the nominal end of those windows. Hawaii and Wisconsin use the anniversary quarter. Michigan formations after September 30 and New Hampshire December formations skip the immediately following report year. Illinois requires filing before the anniversary month begins. Colorado requires the agency-assigned report cycle, while Tennessee and Vermont require a confirmed fiscal year end. Washington initial reports are separate from annual reports. Indiana uses the INBiz anniversary-day due date, separately from its month-end past-due threshold. Alaska marks the final calendar day before the statutory January2 cutoff and requires a confirmed biennial cycle; its conditional initial report needs separate review. Texas schedules only an agency-confirmed PIR cycle after applicability is confirmed, without calculating taxes. A first report may follow a different cycle: DC starts in the following calendar year, then repeats biennially.

No dollar amount, federal tax date, payroll date, sales-tax schedule, Form 5472 deadline or BOI obligation is calculated. A state without an LLC annual report can still require taxes, licenses and changes to records.

Common questions

Does downloading subscribe me to updates?

No. The ICS file contains individual all-day events for this snapshot. It has no live subscription, recurring rule, email service or automatic legal updates. Calendar-app alerts depend on your own settings.

Why does my state show a review path?

The rule or your situation is not supported yet. Unknown is not zero and is not a finding that no filing is required. Use the agency or state guide to verify it.

Can I import the same file more than once?

Events use stable identifiers within an unchanged plan, but calendar applications handle reimports differently. Check for duplicates and remove older snapshots when replacing a plan. Import behavior still needs acceptance testing in your chosen calendar app.

Does an empty upcoming list mean my LLC is compliant?

No. The window may exclude an earlier date, your rule may need review or a different obligation may apply. Check government status and filing history separately.

Reviewed rule topics and official sources

Each topic below shows its own source-check date and next review target. Review sooner if an authority changes instructions; a maintenance target is not a guarantee of unchanged law. These summaries describe standard active domestic LLC cases only.

Alabama — No routine Secretary of State LLC annual report

The Secretary of State form explicitly states that LLCs do not require an annual report. This refers to that entity report only: Business Privilege Tax, other taxes, licenses and changes to records remain separate questions.

Alaska — Biennial Report — statutory before-January-2 cutoff

AS10.50.760(a) requires the biennial report before January 2 in years matching the original filing-year parity. The agency FAQ describes January 2 as the due date; this calendar marks January 1 as the final nominal calendar day before the statutory cutoff. Confirm an agency-assigned January cycle year; do not infer the first cycle. Separately, subsection(d) requires an initial report within six months after original organization upon receipt of the department form. That conditional initial filing needs separate review and is not generated here. No delinquency grace period or holiday shift is applied.

Standard active domestic LLC only; no foreign registration, conversion, reinstatement, special exemption or changed reporting cycle. Original articles filing date and an agency-confirmed January biennial cycle year after the formation year, with matching odd/even parity. Review initial-report receipt and status separately.
