Corrections Policy
This policy explains how LLC School reviews and corrects information that may be inaccurate, outdated, unclear, or missing important context.
Last updated: August 8, 2026
Our approach: when a possible error is reported or discovered, we aim to check the issue against an appropriate source before making a substantive correction.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
LLC School publishes educational information about topics that can change, including LLC filing rules, state fees, tax requirements, government forms, deadlines, processing times, and business-service information.
Even with careful research, information can become outdated or mistakes can happen. When we identify a possible problem, we treat correction as part of the publishing process.
What We Consider a Correction
A correction may be needed when:
- a published fact is wrong;
- a government fee, deadline, form, threshold, or rule has changed;
- a page gives an incomplete or misleading explanation;
- a link points to an outdated or incorrect official resource;
- a calculator or tool uses outdated information;
- structured data does not match the visible page content; or
- a commercial product fact, price, feature, or availability has changed.
How We Review a Reported Error
We receive a reader report or identify a possible issue internally.
We compare the claim with an appropriate official or authoritative source.
If the published information needs to change, the affected content is updated.
Related pages, tools, FAQs, tables, or schema may also be checked when relevant.
Regulated Facts Require Verification
We do not want to replace one uncertain fact with another uncertain fact. When a correction involves a regulated or time-sensitive fact, our goal is to verify the change before publishing it.
Examples include:
- filing fees;
- tax rates and thresholds;
- annual report or compliance deadlines;
- penalties and interest;
- official forms;
- processing times;
- publication rules; and
- other state or federal requirements.
Important: a reader-submitted source is helpful, but we may need to confirm the information through the responsible government agency, official form, statute, regulation, or another appropriate primary source.
Corrections May Affect More Than One Page
One fact may appear in several places on LLC School. For example, a state filing fee may appear in a guide, Quick Answer, Fast Facts table, FAQ, calculator, or structured data.
When a verified correction affects multiple parts of the website, our goal is to identify and update the relevant dependent content rather than fixing only one visible occurrence.
How Quickly Are Corrections Made?
The time needed depends on the issue.
A simple broken link or typographical error may be corrected quickly. A tax, legal, filing, or compliance issue may require additional source verification before we change the published information.
We therefore do not promise that every correction will be completed within a fixed number of hours or days.
High-impact errors that could materially affect a reader's understanding of a filing, tax, deadline, fee, or compliance obligation receive higher review priority.
Updated Dates and Correction History
When a page receives a meaningful update, its visible updated or reviewed date may also be changed where appropriate.
We do not consider changing a date alone to be a meaningful content update.
Significant regulated fact changes should also be recorded in our internal fact-verification or change-management system as that system is expanded.
How to Report a Possible Error
If you believe something on LLC School is inaccurate or outdated, please tell us.
When possible, include:
- the URL of the LLC School page;
- the information you believe is incorrect;
- what you believe the correct information is; and
- a link to an official or reliable source supporting the correction.
You can contact us through our Contact page or email info@myllcschool.com.
Editorial Independence
Corrections are not determined by whether a company is an affiliate partner, advertiser, competitor, or government agency.
If reliable evidence shows that published information should change, our editorial goal is to correct the information regardless of whether that change is commercially favorable to LLC School.
Corrections Do Not Replace Professional Advice
LLC School provides general educational information. A correction to our content does not create legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice for an individual reader.
For decisions specific to your situation, consider checking the responsible government agency and consulting an appropriately qualified professional.
